The Ulster County Legislature’s standing committee on Housing & Transportation will meet on June 5th at 4pm in the Legislative Chambers at the County Office Building, 244 Fair Street, Kingston. The meeting will be live-streamed at https://www.youtube.com/@UlsterCountyLegislature/streams.
The Housing & Transportation Committee is the next step in the Legislature’s adoption of the compromise proposal for the “undesignated section.” This compromise would accommodate an extension of the CMRR’s tourist trains to a new trailhead at the county-owned property just north of Route 28A. It would also allow a 1.67-mile extension of the Ashokan Rail Trail, bridging the gap to allow a future connection to Kingston.
